Every year for the last three years food bloggers from around the world have rallied their efforts to raise money for a worthy cause in the aptly named Menu for Hope event. Last year we raised over $60,000 to benefit the UN World Food Programme. This year the proceeds will again benefit the WFP, this time earmarked for the school lunch program in Lesotho, Africa, a program focused on buying food locally to support the local farmers and the local economy.

For our part we are straying from our usual focus on food to promote a prize of a half case (6 bottles) of 2004 Quixote Petite Syrah, generously donated by Quixote Winery.
