Tomorrow is National Walk to School Day. We talked about this last year and I’m a little flummoxed that it’s here again so quickly. It feels like just yesterday that my daughter and I were strolling along with a few hundred others in the walk to school effort in our own neighborhood.

Recently, during a stint subbing, one of the children asked me what imagination was. Imagination is a huge word and we talk to our kids about their imagination all the time, yet as adults - we don’t really talk about our imagination. At least, we don’t talk about it much.

Yes, we’re back to school and the schedule is as crazy as ever. To add insult to injury, I’ve got pneumonia. Yes, you read that right, I have pneumonia. It’s the walking variety so I didn’t even feel that sick, I just had a cough that wouldn’t quit.

I went to the doctor a couple of days ago because I wasn’t feeling great, I’d had a persistent cough I couldn’t get rid of and it was really messing with my workout and my plans.

Maybe it’s because I’m in the business of following fitness trends, reading and writing about them and discussing how to build your exercise program. Maybe because I work with young children and I have one of my own, I’m a little more sensitive to the issue.
