PepsiCo have announced they will sell a “diet” version of Gatorade.
“[Gatorade] is formulated for athletes while they are working out, she said the lower-calorie version would be marketed to athletes for use when they were less active.” (NY Times)

Yes, I know, uniform is stretching it where fitness is concerned, but I have a fitness uniform that I wear and I think many people do. Your uniform doesn’t have to have a name tag or a specific color scheme, but it does need to put you in the right mindset for your fitness routine.

The UK Independent reports on an interesting “discovery”:
…the immune system can be triggered into action at the sight of obesity because it doesn’t like the look of what it sees, and associates it with infection.
The authors of the research (abstract here) believe that “obesity serves as a cue for pathogen infection”.
