Can You Get Fit?

In a word? Absolutely. Getting fit is easy to do, the formulas are out there for everyone. It takes some exercise, some proper nutrition and some sweat. As nice as it would be to be able to take a magic pill to turn you into a fit and slim person, there really isn’t.

Not really, but with just 4 months to go it’s time to start preparing for the Susan G. Komen Dallas Race for the Cure. Today I received my invitation to sign up for the 2007 Race for the Cure and so now the prepping is on.

Let’s work on exercising our brains. When I was in school, I had a great teacher for homeroom three years running. Every day, we would arrive in the classroom and there would be a problem on the board. The first thirty minutes of the day was devoted to that problem.

Everyone has an opinion about exercise and weight loss - but what does the vast body of research tell us? How effective is exercise, and is it necessary? Can we at last lay down some rules of thumb - a reality check as it were?
